Bob Melone entered the mortgage lending industry in 2003 to become radius financial group’s top-performing loan officer. He and his team maintain a nearly flawless closing record thanks to a commitment to up-front due diligence and a ‘customer obsessed’ attitude.

Before joining the company, Bob was preparing for a career in law enforcement. He served as a combat medic in Afghanistan in 2002 and, upon his return in 2003, waited tables while searching for a full-time job. One of his regular customers was Sarah Valentini, president of radius, who thought Bob’s smarts and sense of humor would be a great match for the company. Her instincts proved more than right.

Today, Bob is a consistent Presidents’ Club member, and was ranked by Banker & Tradesman in 2009 as one the industry’s Top 40 Under 40. He has also been ranked by Mortgage Executive Magazine as one of the nation’s Top 1% of Mortgage Originators in 2016 and 2019.
